Installation and first setup

First Installation

Download and install the plugin. Then activate it.

Settings Tab

  1. Indicate your Stripe API keys (we recommend to start in test mode)
  2. Indicate a Location ID : The Location ID field should match the site identifier for terminals in Stripe. This allows a multi-site company to only select the terminals on one specific site. If empty, all the terminals from all sites will be shown.
  3. Select the currency of your Stripe account
  4. Specify an expiration for incomplete payment attempts
  5. If your Stripe account allows it, you can enable incremental authorizations. You won't get an error while attempting to enable it. Instead, you'll get an error while attempting to authorize au payment. So, if you gat an error, this is because Stripe does not allow this option in your account.
  6. Receipt header : will appear on local receipt only (see receipt=local below for more info). Simple HTML code can be used.
  7. License activation : by default, you have a 30 days grace period. If you do not have a licence key or if your license key is expired, you can contact us on https://iconseil.pro/**stripe-tpe-plugin**/

<aside> 💡 Location ID starts with tml_ and can be found on your stripe account or on terminals tab.

Terminals Tab

If your terminal(s) has(have) been registered on Stripe, they will appear on this list (use the Refresh Button as needed). You can change their labels. Only labels of terminals will appear in the payment processing frontend page.

If you just want to see the terminals at a specific location, copy the location and paste it on the “site identifier” field in the Settings tab.

If you want to use one or two specific terminals on the payment processing page, note the Trm_ID as you will need to specify it/them in the shortcode for the frontend payment processing page. (see ‘Shortcode options’ further)

A virtual terminal can be created on Stripe for testing purpose. If you decide to associate your physical TPE (only the BBPOS WisePOS E reader for now, 01-Apr-23) on a test site, do not forget to reset it to place it back on your production site after testing. We are exclusively working with Stripe API / Server driven integration. More info on
